Schedules and routes of some buses and minibuses to change
As of March 10, a new bus route No. 57 „ Abrenes Street – Ķīpsala” will be opened due to the closure of minibus route No. 277. The new bus route will improve transportation opportunities for Riga residents and guests going to Ķīpsala and facilities located there. Bus No. 57 will run from the bus terminal in Abrenes Street along Turgeņeva Street, Gogoļa Street, Marijas Street, Merķeļa Street, Kalpaka Boulevard, K. Valdemāra Street, across Vanšu Bridge, then in Ķīpsalas Street, Zvejnieku Street, but from Ķīpsala in will run in Zvejnieku Street, Ķīpsalas Street, across Vanšu Bridge, then in K. Valdemāra Street, Raiņa Boulevard, Gogoļa Street, Turgeņeva Street to the bus terminal in Abrenes Street.
As of March 8 workday and holiday schedules of bus route No. 23 will be changed to improve traffic regularity on the route. The number of runs will not change.

Following proposals of minibus company „Rīgas mikroautobusu satiksme”, many minibus routes and schedules will be changed as of March 8. These changes will affect almost the whole network of minibus routes and are based on careful analysis of the passenger flow, load on specific routes and proposals of local residents.
Changes of minibus routes
Minibus route No. 200: new schedule on workdays, the number of runs will be increased; the operation time will be also extended on workdays.
Minibus route No. 203: new schedule on workdays, will be closed on holidays due to low passenger demand, yet it almost fully overlaps with trolleybus route No. 16.
Minibus route No. 204: new schedules on workdays and Saturdays, will be closed on Sundays, on Saturdays all minibuses will run by route Jugla – Centre.
Minibus routes No. 206, 208, 209, 214, 216, 237, 238, 241, 246 and 267: new schedules on workdays and on holidays, changes made according to the passenger flow.
Minibus route No. 212: new schedule on workdays and Saturdays, will be closed on Sundays due to low passenger demand.
Minibus No. 220 „Pļavnieki – Upesgrīvas Street” will be closed, yet passengers can choose alternative public transport routes, for example, minibuses No. 203, 212, 208, 206, 271, 214, buses No. 3 and 6, and trolleybus No. 16 running from Pļavnieki, and bus routes No. 7 and 55 running from Upesgrīvas Street.
Minibus route No. 222: will be closed on holidays due low passenger demand, no changes in the workday schedule.
Minibus route No. 224: new schedules on workdays and holidays, will also start running on holidays.
Minibus route No. 233: number of runs increased, new schedules on workdays and holidays.
Minibus route No. 233a: minibus route „Centre – Ziepniekkalns” will be closed due to an insufficient passenger demand, as well as its overlapping with minibus route No. 233 and trolleybus route No. 27.
Minibus route No. 236: number of runs increased, new schedules on workdays and holidays.
Minibus route No. 242: new schedules on workdays and holidays, harmonised with changes on minibus route No. 236.
Minibus route No. 271: new schedule on workdays, on holidays the route will be closed due to low passenger demand, as well as its partly overlapping with other bus and minibus routes.
Minibus route No. 277: minibus route „Dārziņi – Ķīpsala – Imanta” will be closed. A part of the route will be replaced by new bus route No. 57 „Abrenes Street – Ķīpsala”.
Minibus route No. 280: will be closed on holidays due to low passenger demand, as well as its overlapping with other bus, trolleybus and minibus routes, the workday schedule will not change.
Given the low passenger demand, minibus routes No. 213, 212a and 218, which were temporarily closed, will not be restored.
